HammondCare At Home began life as Hammond's Pioneer Homes in 1932.
It was established by Reverend Bob Hammond on land near Liverpool during the Depression year of 1932 to provide affordable homes for destitute families.
By 1940 the scheme had housed 110 families and become the suburb of Hammondville. In the early 1950s the focus shifted to caring for elderly "battlers".
Today HammondCare improves the quality of life for people in need in more than 60 locations across Australia, including the St George and Sutherland region.
South East Sydney region area manager Sarah Cassidy said during the last financial year HammondCare provided services for 25,711 clients, including about 320 in the Shire. Services include in-home support, respite care and residential care for the aged and those with dementia. HammondCare is also a registered training organisation.
Ms Cassidy said HammondCare was an independent Christian charity organisation.
"Our mission is improving the quality of life for people in need," Ms Cassidy said.
"We provide excellent care management for those on Home Care Packages and our managers go that extra mile to ensure that our clients are well cared for at home.
"Our speciality is caring for those with dementia and complex care needs and our clients are our focus."
Ms Cassidy said HammondCare has the ability to support people through their ageing journey. "As a Home Care client, you will always have a registered nurse overseeing your care," she said.
"By partnering with HammondCare At Home in Miranda, you or your loved one can have seamless care.
"In Miranda we have our purpose-built Sinclair Respite Cottage along with our Dementia Specific Residential Care Home.
"Our award-winning HammondGrove is also on site for those who want a more relaxed lifestyle as they age."
Ms Cassidy said HammondCare was upfront about any fees or charges and there are no hidden costs to your Home Care Package budget.
