Captain Cook Drive will be closed for road works near the Sharks development for five nights from Monday February 24 to Friday February 28 between 9pm and 5am.
Aoyuan International, which is developing the final stage of the Woolooware Bay Town Centre, said the night closure was the fastest and safest way to complete a crossover of services required to complete the upgrade of Captain Cook Drive.
"Our development team has been working with Sutherland Shire Council, Cronulla Sharks, local schools and other community members to ensure safety while we introduce this improved road system along Captain Cook Drive," said project director Matthew Crews.
"Once complete, improvements will include a double lane carriageway in both directions, upgraded intersections controlled by traffic lights and new pedestrian paths and cycleways.
"The upgrade to Captain Cook Drive is set to improve overall traffic flow, safety and access for vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians travelling through the area, in and around the new shopping centre and improved Cronulla Sharks Leagues Club."
Mr Crews urged road users to remain vigilant when making their way through the changing and busy construction environment.
"We're very grateful to the public for their patience during this time of change," he said.
