The increase in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in NSW has fallen for the third day in a row.
An extra 114 cases were confirmed in the 24 hours to 8pm on Monday, taking the total to 2032.
The increase compares with 127, 174 and 212 for the previous 24 hour periods.
However, the state's chief health officer Dr Kerry Chant warned on Monday figures should be treated cautiously as test numbers vary from day to day.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in St George and Sutherland Shire has increased by 19 over 24 hours, taking the total to 116.
NSW Health figures by local government area up till 8pm on Sunday:
- Sutherland Shire: 57 cases (an increase of nine on the previous 48 hour period).
- Georges River: 32 (increase of five).
- Bayside: 27 (increase of five).
The shire has improved one place in the list, overtaken by Blacktown Council, and now has the eighth highest number of cases in the state. It also has one of the largest populations - more than 218,000 residents.
Updating the state figures, NSW Health said there were 164 COVID-19 cases being treated, including 35 cases in intensive care units and, of those, 16 require ventilators at this stage.
More than 50 per cent of the remainder of cases being treated by NSW Health are through Hospital in the Home services.
There are currently 211 NSW cases from the Ruby Princess, 79 cases from the Ovation of the Seas, which docked 18 March and 30 cases from the Voyager of the Seas which docked on 18 March. There are two new cases in NSW, from the Celebrity Solstice, making it four total cases in NSW.
There are seven confirmed cases from a group of 100 Chilean navy personnel self-isolating in hotels in Sydney. Investigations and contact tracing continue.
Two more cases have been confirmed among residents of the Dorothy Henderson Lodge, bringing the total to 21 (16 residents, 5 staff). The facility remains in isolation.
