St George residents have more locations to Return and Earn with two new Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs
The new RVMs located at Hurstville and Rockdale join over 630 return points across NSW where people can do their bit to reduce container litter in the environment.
The Rockdale RVM is located at Spotlight Rockdale, 381-391 Princes Highway, Rockdale and is open from 7am to 10pm daily.
The Hurstville RVM is located at Westfield Hurstville (443 Park Road, Hurstville) on the P2 parking level near the Cross Street entrance.
"These new machines at Hurstville and Rockdale bring the total number of RVMs in the St George area to five," Oatley MP Mark Coure said.
"They also show the strong desire our area has to reduce litter and improve our local Environment," he said..
"Over 3.3 billion containers have been deposited for recycling across NSW since Return and Earn began just over two years ago.
"There are currently over 630 return points that people can access to recycle their eligible containers."
RVMs allow customers to print a voucher for the refund amount which is redeemable at Woolworths.
Customers can also donate their refund to partner charities including the Cans for Koalas appeal which supports the work of WWF-Australia to care for wildlife in the wake of the recent bushfires.
There is also the option to get an e-voucher or payment into a customer's PayPal account by downloading the MyTOMRA app.
