A man and woman have been charged over a stabbing at Bexley.
About 1.20pm yesterday (Saturday), police and paramedics were called to Queen Victoria Street following reports of a brawl.
A man, 37, was found to have suffered stab wounds to his torso.
He was taken to St George Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
A 27-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested at the scene and taken to Kogarah Police Station.
The Merrylands man was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The Menai woman was charged with concealing a serious indictable offence and breaching bail.
Both were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Sunday).
Investigations are continuing.
