The State Emergency Service (SES) has responded to 32 jobs in St George and Sutherland Shire brought on by damaging winds and rain over the past five days.
SES units in Kogarah, Bayside, Hurstville and Sutherland Shire responded to 32 jobs between midnight last Thursday and lunchtime today.
The majority of jobs related to trees or branches falling down, leaking and damaged roofs and minor flooding.
Sutherland SES alone has responded to 16 jobs, including a call out to minor flooding at Miranda last week.
A low pressure system over the Tasman Sea has been whipping up strong sourtherly winds since last Thursday, causing hazardous weather conditions and a severe weather warning that is in place today.
NSW SES recommends you check outside the home in preparation for strong winds and secure loose items such as trampolines, large umbrellas and outdoor furniture.
