A man has been arrested at Miranda station over an alleged sexual incident on a train.
A police statement said, about 6.30am on Friday 26 June, a woman, 25, was seated on a train near Wolli Creek station when she saw a man in the same carriage allegedly committing a sexual act.
The woman reported the matter to police and officers from Cronulla Police Transport Command commenced an investigation into the incident.
About 4.40pm yesterday (Thursday), police spoke with a 42-year-old man at Miranda train station. He was arrested and taken to Sutherland Police Station.
He was charged with carry out sexual act with another without consent and behaving in an offensive manner.
He was granted strict conditional bail and will appear before Sutherland Local Court on Thursday 30 July.
