Bayside Council has partnered with Holdsworth Community to connect local seniors to friendly volunteers who can offer a helping hand or a friendly chat.

"Sometime a friendly chat can make all the difference during these difficult times," Bayside Mayor Joe Awada said.

"This project will connect local seniors with a friendly volunteer with similar interests."

The Connecting Seniors project runs from July to September and offers an opportunity to:

  • Have friendly weekly chat
  • Tell a story of your choice
  • Contribute to a newsletter
  • Participate in games and competitions
