Bayside Council has partnered with Holdsworth Community to connect local seniors to friendly volunteers who can offer a helping hand or a friendly chat.
"Sometime a friendly chat can make all the difference during these difficult times," Bayside Mayor Joe Awada said.
"This project will connect local seniors with a friendly volunteer with similar interests."
The Connecting Seniors project runs from July to September and offers an opportunity to:
- Have friendly weekly chat
- Tell a story of your choice
- Contribute to a newsletter
- Participate in games and competitions
