The Georges River FC 'Tiger Cubs' nursery training program kicked off on Friday at Oyster Bay with the focus on fun, basic football skills and building confidence.
Almost 100, three to five yr olds turned up in uniform at the sold-out event.
The "Tiger Cub" program runs every Friday afternoon for the next 10 weeks and the kids are placed into 10 different colour-coded groups based on age.
Each group has a dedicated professional coach from the Sutherland Shire Football Association.
Tiger Cub Coordinator Melissa Gassman said despite being one of the biggest clubs in the Shire fielding 1200 players and over 100 teams this season, Georges River FC still has a strong sense of community.
"This is helped by many parents, their children and even grandchildren playing with River. We can't wait to see our next generation get their first taste of football."
This year is Georges River FC's 60th anniversary and the club is experiencing record numbers.
