A positive COVID-19 case has been reported from a nail salon at Westfield Hurstville.
There is no broader risk at Westfield Hurstville, South Eastern Sydney Local Health Unit deputy director, Dr Vicky Sheppeard said.
"South Eastern Sydney Local Health District can confirm a person who was infectious with COVID-19 worked at Professionail, Westfield Hurstville on 22 and 23 July, 2020, " Dr Sheppeard said.
"This person is associated with the funeral cluster from south west Sydney.
"The business conducted a deep clean and public health officers confirmed appropriate cleaning and other COVID-Safe measures were in place.
"All close contacts of the confirmed case have been identified and directed to self-isolate for 14 days and casual contacts have been notified of the need to monitor for symptoms."
A spokesperson for Westfield Hurstville said, "When it comes to the health and wellbeing of our customers, retail partners and employees, we follow health and government advice as we have done throughout the pandemic.
"NSW Health has advised that an employee at ProfessioNAIL at Westfield Hurstville tested positive to COVID-19.
"ProfessioNAIL is following the advice of NSW Health and has completed a deep clean. The store is currently closed.
"NSW Health has confirmed there is no broader risk at Westfield Hurstville.
"Westfield Hurstville is cleaned every night, as are all of our centres.
"We apply the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene across our Westfield Centres. We have increased the routine cleaning of frequently-touched hard surfaces, including in car parks."
