Last Saturday, August 1, St George Dragons AFC were proud to watch their No 8, Michael Milner, lace up his footy boots to play his 200th senior game on the hallowed turf of Penshurst's Olds Park for the clubs AFC Premier Division Reserves team.
The Dragons started strong but were run down, the final score being 8.9.-57 - 11.7-73 to the East Coast Eagles.
At the end of the game, the team rallied around club stalwart Michael and proudly carried him off the field to the cheers of spectators and club mates in celebration of his double century game.
A member of the St George AFC Executive Committee said Michael had been a stalwart of the backline for St George Dragons AFC.
"He is a great representative of the club and has shown his quality on the field for twelve years, rarely getting beaten by his opponent. Most importantly, he's a champion person".
Michael said he loves his footy, but the mateship at St George AFC is what brings him back year after year.
