The mixed week for Tasmania's North-West Coast's AFLW community hit its high point on Thursday, with the Western Bulldogs confirming Ellyse Gamble will be on their list in 2021.
Her good news comes in the same week her Burnie Dockers premiership teammate Emma Humphries was delisted at North Melbourne.
The 22-year-old, who spent time in a key defensive post last year having also played forward and in the ruck, has played 13 games for the Dogs in her four years, which includes four last year.
Gamble, who was best on ground in Burnie's 2016 TWL premiership win, was originally drafted to the Western Bulldogs with the 69th pick in the 2016 national draft.
Her signing is some rare good news for North-West Coast AFLW players, after Gamble's Dockers flag teammate Emma Humphries was delisted by the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos earlier this week.
Humphries joined Chloe and Libby Haines without a club for 2021, although it is believed Brittany Gibson is contracted for next season.
