Another weekend of National Premier League NSW action has been completed and it is Rockdale Ilinden back on top of the ladder at the end of Round 4.
Rockdale reclaimed the top spot after edging Blacktown City 1-0 at Ilinden Sports Centre on Sunday afternoon.
The Steven Zoric coached side remain the only undefeated team in the competition with three wins and a draw from their opening matches of the rebooted season.
Club President Dennis Loether said they are delighted at the way the team has performed.
"Considering the disrupted preparation for the reboot competition, it's been very pleasing to see how the boys have picked up from where we were pre-shut-down.
"We are very thankful of our members, coaches and players who have all played their part in the Club being a part of the reboot competition," Loether said
"Whilst there is a long way to go, to be undefeated after four rounds and not to concede a goal is a tremendous achievement.
"We also know there are some tough games ahead starting this Sunday against our rivals Sydney Olympic."
Nikola Taneski has stepped up his game since the competition commenced while Japanese imports Tomoki Wada and Banri Kanaizumi have quietly become two of the teams most consistent performers.
They took on a Blacktown City side which was desperate to get their season back on track and they put the attacking pressure on Rockdale in the first half.
In the end, it was a big goal for Suns Alec Urosevski that made the difference.
It was an even first half with both sides creating chances, but neither could find the back of the net.
Rockdale had the best of the action in the second half and caught the Blacktown team napping in the 73rd minute when Urosevski was put into space behind the defence slipping the ball around the keeper.
A determined City side refused to quit and pushed for the equaliser, but couldn't create clear cut chances.
Frustration began to get the better of the visitors and they were unable to break through a resolute Rockdale backline who clung on until the final whistle for the win.
