There were just four new cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday, according to the NSW Health COVID-19 update today.
Of the new cases, three were returned overseas travellers in hotel quarantine and one was locally acquired. It has been linked to a known cluster at the Eastern Suburbs Legion Club.
The person was a close contact of a previously reported case and was already in self-isolation.
NSW Health is warning people not become complacent and said it was likely the virus was still circulating in the community.
Over the weekend, nine new cases of COVID-19 cases were reported in the 24 hours, to 8pm Saturday. Four of those were returned overseas travellers in hotel quarantine, one was locally acquired and under investigation, and the four remaining were linked to a known case or cluster.
A further six cases were reported to 8pm Friday night, of which was a returned traveller, and the remaining five were locally acquired and linked to a known case or cluster.
The entire Sutherland Local Government Area remains on the NSW Health list of areas and suburbs with increased testing.
NSW Health said today it was treating 81 COVID-19 cases, including six people who are in intensive care. Three of those are being ventilated.
