Como players 30 years of service

Brett Carroll grew up in Como playing the round ball game for his local team until he turned 10 years old.

It was at this time that his parents finally gave in to him and let him pursue his love for Rugby League and he began playing for Como Jannali JRLFC at Scylla Bay a journey that is still going today after 30 years.

He has won premierships for his beloved club the Como Croc's in the Under 12's,13's and 21's as well as four Premierships in their strong A-Grade teams in the early 2000's.

And in one for the record books he also captained and won an A-Grade competition for the Gymea Gorillas when his Como side couldn't get a team on the park.

A few years ago he started coaching and co-ordinating the age groups at the Como club and for Rugby League teams at the Oyster Bay Public School.

Brett is currently coaching the Como Under 11A's Boys and assisting with his daughter's League tag team and his fondest memories over his 30 years has been the life-long friendships he has built through being involved with the family club with one special year when his son won a Premiership with him as coach.

Brett continues to play open age Rugby League at 47 years old as well as being an active member of the Como Croc's Football Committee.

The club recognises their important role in the health and wellbeing of all their members and leadership role in the wider community-Brett Carroll's outstanding achievement is part of that benefit,running out for his 500^th game against Hurstville United for the club that he loves.
