Ramsgate RSL team are proud to have successfully undertaken the Steptember challenge for children with Cerebral Palsy, completing a total of 4,336,485 steps in the month of September.
The Steptember challenge is Australia's leading health and wellness fundraising event that sets the goal of each participant to walk 10,000 steps per day for 28 days straight to make a difference to the lives of children and adults with cerebral palsy.
Ramsgate RSL had a team of 14 members take part in the challenge. For every day the entire team reached their daily 10,000 step challenge, Ramsgate RSL made a daily team donation.
Collectively the team raised a total of $3,660 with this challenge that will support a wide range of initiatives, helping people living with cerebral palsy to love their best lives.
"We are very proud here at Ramsgate RSL on the steps and money raised for this fantastic cause" said Ramsgate RSL's commercial manager, Nicole Heinrich.
"The challenge was a great COVID-safe way for the Ramsgate RSL team to re-engage with
our community whilst driving the importance of our health and wellbeing and making a conscious effort of getting our steps up each day."
