Miranda Musical Society has launched a virtual weekly cabaret performance to keep audiences engaged with the arts until the entertainment industry gets back on track following COVID-19 restrictions.
In Pieces - A Virtual Cabaret - is part of the musical society's At Home Concert Series, which launched last month.
It is a collection of the musical society's best performances, with a new one presented each Friday.
When complete, it will create the full concert - In Pieces - a Virtual Cabaret.
Miranda Musical Society's spokeswoman Michele Lansdown said music and the arts enriched our lives in so many ways, but had been sadly lacking during the pandemic.
"During a time when many people have found themselves isolated from one another and from things that bring them joy, Miranda Musical Society wanted to let people know that their commitment to bringing entertainment of the highest quality to the shire continues, even during COVID," she said.
"The society curated a short series of individual performances from some of its most popular shows.
"The selections are performed by the singers who originally starred in those shows.
"All performances have been filmed in a live concert setting whilst strictly adhering to current COVID-19 Safe practices.
"The aim of this project is to bring some musical theatre happiness into people's homes while we wait to bring our next production, Beautiful - The Carole King Story, to the theatre next April."
The performances are released each Friday on both Miranda Musical Society and Sutherland Shire Council's Facebook pages.
Miranda Musical Society said the At Home Concert Series would not be possible without the support of Sutherland Entertainment Centre, Sutherland Shire Council and Sydney Vocal Academy.
The performances can be viewed by subscribing to Miranda Musical Society's Facebook or Instagram pages.
