NINE years ago, Peta Shulman found herself bedridden with barely enough energy to walk to the kitchen.

"After seeing a fair few doctors, I was no closer to the cause of my problem and no closer to the solution," she says.

"I was tired all the time and suffered from a constant headache, heavy limbs and aching muscles. I had no idea what was happening, but I soldiered on!"

At the time, Peta was working for a PR firm which specialised in the health and wellness sector.

Even though she was immersing herself in the health industry, it didn't stop her body from breaking down and suffering multiple colds every year. Finally, she was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition and was told she would need monthly antibody protein transfusions for the rest of her life.

Literally sick of being the patient, she decided to take a more proactive approach, tweaking her lifestyle and nourishing her body with clean, healthy wholefoods. It was this approach which has now shaped a large part of her wellness.

"The world of health and wellness opened up to me. I spoke to hundreds of health practitioners, attended conferences, learned about the latest health foods, supplements and got schooled up on prevention," she recalls.

"It became crystal clear that what we put into our bodies, how active we are, and how we manage our stress plays a crucial role in how we feel and our long-term health."

As a result, Peta felt empowered to transfer her knowledge and love for wholesome food in a bid to inspire others to take control of their own body and lead richer and healthier lives.

And so GoodnessMe was created - Australia's largest health food subscription service delivering monthly surprise boxes filled with up to 10 entirely natural, wholesome foods designed to help people take the guesswork out of healthy eating and fuel their body from the inside out.

With the option of purchasing a Health Box or Beauty Box, products are approved by a team of health practitioners including nutritionists and natural beauty experts. Each box is also curated in accordance to different dietary requirements.

Club members have access to regular inspiration and VIP offers and all GoodnessMe products are available to be purchased online at the GoodnessMe Shop so everyone can truly reap the long-term health benefits.

As more and more people yearn to re-align themselves with a healthier, more holistic lifestyle, particularly amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, Peta says it is important for individuals to appreciate the imperative of nourishing their bodies.

"Health doesn't have to be complicated. In fact, it's as simple as this: eat real food that makes you feel good. That's where GoodnessMe comes in," Peta says.

"I want to spread this message to as many people as I possibly can. I want others to learn how and why they should love nourishing their bodies, because it feels pretty spectacular!"
