The Oatley 101 Society of Artists is preparing for its popular Members' Christmas Art Exhibition next weekend.
"With the COVID-19 pandemic closing all the Oatley 101 Society activities during the year, it is a great thrill for members to be preparing for this final exhibition in 2020," society member Shirley Hagarty said.
"A variety of quality artwork will be on display, from traditional landscapes to contemporary abstract paintings in a numbe of mediums including oil, watercolour, acrylic, pastel, mixed media and drawing.
"All paintings will be for sale so it will be an opportunity that art lovers have been waiting for over the long months of the Covid-19 discipline, and weather permitting, each day there will be at least one artist who will be painting on site," she said.
The society has its Covid-19 Plan in place and visitors will be able proceed safely through the display of paintings, with plenty of time to view the quality artwork, and consider any purchases they wish to make.
In recent months the Oatley 101 Society of Artists has been slowly returning to its regular activities with the Monday night Sketch Group, Sunday workshops and the Wednesday Social Painters now up and running again.
The Oatley 101 Society of Artists Christmas Art Exhibition will be open on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday December 6 from 10am to 5pm each day at the 1 st Oatley West Scout Hall, 101 Woronora Parade, Oatley West.
