After six successful preview performances Magic Mike Live Australia will resume its performances on Sunday, December 27.
Performances this week up to and including December 26 have been cancelled.
Guests impacted by any cancelled performances will be contacted by Ticketmaster directly to reschedule and exchange tickets into future performances, currently on sale until 4 April, 2021.
"We wish to thank our patrons who visited the show, those who have booked and those wishing to book in the coming weeks and months," a spokesman for Magic Mike Live said.
"We also acknowledge the wonderful work undertaken by the NSW contact tracers in these difficult days who are keeping us all safe. '
Magic Mik Live Worldwide producer Vincent Marini said that in accordance with the public health order issued by the NSW Government, they were forced to cancel the opening night performances.
"We will be here in Sydney through May and we encourage everyone to please continue to support both Magic Mike Live and everyone in the live entertainment industry in the coming weeks and months," he said.
Magic Mike Live was due to open the at Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park on December 17, in a specially-designed tent and Covid-safe conditions.
Hurstville dancer Jake Paul Green was among the cast members.
He told the Leader last month he was counting down the days until the beginning of rehearsals, and eventually opening night.
"I'm more excited about this than anything in my life," he said.
