Councillor Awada thanked the president of the Ramgate Life Saving Club, Councillor Andrew Tsounis for giving the wheelchair a permanent home where it will be used by seniors and people with a disability.

The wheelchair known as the Sandcruiser provides a smooth ride on soft or hard sand and while it isn't designed to float, it can be used in shallow water.
