Albury product Lauren Jackson has been named as one of four finalists for the 2021 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Jackson, who was nominated in December, is one of four women's finalists in line for the greatest honour in US basketball.

The others are legendary coaches Leta Andrews and Marianne Stanley; plus the woman considered one of the greatest rebounders and defensive players in the history of women's basketball, Yolanda Griffith

All up, nine new members will join the elite group of inductees on May 16.

Jackson is in the Basketball Australia, Sport Australia and (US) Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.
