
Looking for the perfect date night or night out with friends?
Look no further than the Georges River Council's free outdoor cinema event at Donnelly Park, Connells Point.
The popular event is back to give locals a great option to enjoy a night out.
Georges River mayor Kevin Greene said all residents were invited to attend.
"I encourage local residents to pack a picnic and enjoy the starlight cinema with family and friends," he said.
"This is a great opportunity to gather outdoors and connect with each other.
"This event supports our neighbourhood's wellbeing by safely returning to public gathering this Autumn, while enjoying a free night out with people we love.
"It is the final event for the In Good Taste series where we focus on the food and the close bonds we have within our community. "
The movie to be screened at the event isthe 2014 flick, Chef (rated M15+).
The film starring, Jon Favreau, Robert Downey Jr and Scarlett Johansson, is about an LA-chef who, upon losing his job, starts a food truck with his son.
The event will kick off at 5.30pm, with the film to be screened from 7pm.
The picnic lounge will be open with 100 free beanbags.
Attendees can also bring their own picnic blankets, chairs or beanbags.
Cinema snacks will be on offer, including popcorn, twist chip on a stick, fairy floss, snow cones and fresh juice.
The event will follow COVID-safe guidelines with guests asked to check and remain socially distanced
