A new generation of young lifesavers has been formally recognised with the launch of the state's latest Nippers club, the Ramsgate Community Nippers Club, on Botany Bay's shores.

The signing of a Relationship Deed was conducted at the Ramsgate Life Saving Club on Saturday, March 21.

The world-renowned Nippers junior activities program, which Surf Life Saving runs throughout Australia, will now be fully available to children between the ages of five and 13-years-old in the Bayside Council area.

The club runs a junior water activity program each season, with around 800 children taking part.

Now the kids and their trainers will have access to the complete junior surf education program and award structure of Surf Life Saving.

The Surf Life Saving Sydney Branch and the Coogee SLSC have been working with the new club to conduct Age Manager courses and help the club's Nipper's Captain achieve full surf Bronze Medallion qualifications.
