A Sutherland Shire youth-based performing arts school will present a fun pantomime these school holidays, and its young stars can't wait to get back on stage in front of an audience.
The Art Umbrella School of Performing Arts in Caringbah provides stage and screen acting tuition to children, teens and young adults.
It will present a children's pantomime production of Jack and the Beanstalk these school holidays at Engadine Theatre.
A spokesperson for the drama school said the past year had been difficult for parents and children in terms of leisure and entertainment, and the school was excited to bring live theatre back to the shire.
The audience will follow Jack on his journey into the clouds where he finds a Giant, a pot of gold and an adventure more tangled than the vines he climbs.
Chased by the Giant, and in the company of a sassy Goose and a Singing Harp, Jack makes his way through the Enchanted Forest of mischievous elves and other fairytale characters to find his destiny.
The fun-filled pantomime also has guest appearances from other much-loved fairytale characters including Rumpelstiltskin, Humpty Dumpty, three very confused Blind Mice, Little 'Blue' Riding Hood, an evil queen and many more.
Details: Jack and the Beanstalk will be on at Engadine Theatre, Engadine Theatre, 1040 Old Princes Highway, Engadine, from April 9-11, with both matinee and evening shows starting at 1pm and 7.30pm. Tickets are $35 each.
