Sutherland Shire will play host to a range of events to mark 2021 Youth Week.
The theme of this year's event is "Together more than ever" and Sutherland Shire Council wants everyone to get involved.
Local youth are invited to share ideas and views on important issues, showcase their talents and enjoy a variety of fun events and activities.
Sutherland Shire Council has partnered with local youth services and the Youth Reference Group to present a range of events, including:
Spend time building your very own robot. Meet new friends and learn new skills at the two-hour workshop.
Operate workshop machinery such as a drill press, sander and saws with the assistance and supervision of Caringbah Craft Centre's experienced staff. The event is free but registration is essential.
Enjoy a free, live music gig and check out Boombox, a night of performances from young, local and aspiring musicians. Registration is essential.
Come and see a 3D printer in action. Learn how to design objects using the technology and make your own creation that you can take home. A free event for young people ages 13. Registration is essential.
Cronulla's Youth Surf Festival is open to surfers of all levels and abilities. Come along to fun learn-to-surf classes, skateboarding activities, live music, art, food trucks and more. There will also be a surfing competition run by NSW Surfing.

Engadine District Youth Services (EDYS) is hosting the f which includes free skate workshops from 11am-1pm, scooter sessions from 1pm-3pm, skating demos, free food, music and plenty of other fun as well as the chance to win prizes.
Learn to Play Card Games, Sunday, April 18, noon-5pm at Good Games Miranda, shop 2/593 Kingsway, Miranda.
Games include Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon and Digimon, and there are prizes to be won.

Held to coincide with the Seniors Festival, it aims to share stories of local Aboriginal culture and intergenerational learning across the generations. Free event but registrations are essential.
Short Stuff Short Film Competition, a live stream screening event and winners' announcement, on Wednesday, April 21.
Short Stuff is open to young people aged 12-24 who are living in Sutherland Shire, Georges River and Bayside council areas.
Films were created on a smartphone and submitted online. Films were then viewed by a panel of judges who work in the film and creative industries.
