Things are looking up for the St George Players, with their first post-pandemic show coming to stage next month.
The musical group's latest show, The Moving Picture Show, will be held on Saturday, May 1 at Civic Theatre Hurstville, from 2pm.
The event will be an afternoon of silent films accompanied by an orchestra.
Pianist Bernard Walz will lead the players as they perform original music from the era, and create foley sound effects - just like it was done in the 1920s.
The Moving Picture Show will feature Buster Keaton classic Steamboat Bill Jr and and Georges Méliès picture The Impossible Journey.
