Three businesses have banded together to say 'thank you' to defence service personnel this Anzac Day.
3D's Events in partnership with MKG Events has joined forces with Kafeini cafe at Ramsgate Beach to offer all defence service personnel a free coffee and Greek doughnut this Sunday.
3D's Events spokesman Julian Imbert said the aim was to thank defence personnel for "their service and sacrifice".
As well as the free coffee and doughnuts, they will be offered free entertainment in the form of a Silent Disco complete with personalised and sanitised headphones featuring live music and performances by a number of artists.
Mr Imbert said the 'Diggers, Doughnuts and Disco' event will be held at Kafeini, 1/160 Ramsgate Road, Ramsgate Beach, on Anzac Day from 6am to 4pm.
"Every single service person from Australia, New Zealand and foreign armed services will receive a free coffee and loukoumades, or Greek doughnut," he said.
"We will have a number of promotional staff wearing branded 3D's Events shirts acting as way-finders, from the intersection of Ramsgate Road near the Ramsgate RSL up to Kafeini, to assist all Diggers and their friends and families with directions to the cafe.
"We will also have a representative from Legacy at the cafe collecting donations.
"This will be a great community activity to drive engagement and a positive stimulating experience to celebrate Anzac Day."
Mr Imbert said he believed it was fitting that he, a French Mauritian, was partnering with Kafeini owner Nick Georgopoulos, a Greek/Australian and TJ, the Turkish/Australian owner of Overdose Coffee to put on the event and with the help of Bayside Council, Ramsgate RSL and Miranda RSL
"A Turkish/Australian, a Greek/Australian and a French Mauritian/Australian - epitomising some of the critical WWI and WWII locations where the Anzac legend was born and fostered - sare putting on a community event to celebrate the sacrifice and service of our Diggers."
