Fire crews will resume a hazard reduction burn of 760 hectares of bushland around Wattamolla this evening (Wednesday April 28).
A National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) spokesman said the initial burn, on Thursday last week, was reduced in size to lessen the impact on the community over the Anzac Day weekend.
"Crews will work throughout the night, and the burn is expected continue over next few days," he said.
"NPWS apologies for any inconvenience."
The operation is being conducted in conjunction with the Rural Fire Service (RFS) and Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW).
The burn aims to reduce bushfire fuel levels to the south of the townships of Bundeena and Maianbar.
