Sutherland Shire Libraries is turning a new page on its annual library book sale.
Reading enthusiasts and collectors will be in for a treat when the annual event returns this weekend.
This year's event will be held over two days at a new location, the Multi-Purpose Centre at 123 Flora Street, Sutherland.
A vast selection of fiction and non-fiction books, DVDs and other items for all ages will be on offer, said Sutherland Shire mayor Steve Simpson.
"We are excited to welcome the return of the annual library book sale in 2021, which is sure to present an extensive and eclectic assortment of items to suit a range of interests and age groups," he said.
"This event offers individuals and families the opportunity to rehome books and other items, while sharing their support for the services our local libraries provide.
"I encourage residents to take part in this event and give new life and significance to the preloved books and items available.
"Our libraries are treasured community spaces, where residents and visitors can expand their imagination, knowledge, skills and interests.
"Events like this enable our local libraries to continue providing welcoming and flexible spaces, programs and services for everyone to enjoy."
Proceeds of sales go towards library programs, resources and services that aid the community.
Payments will be accepted by EFTPOS only. Residents are encouraged to bring their own carry bags or small trolleys on the day.
Details: The sale will take place on Saturday, May 15, and Sunday, May 16, from 10am to 2pm each day.
