NSW Health has issued a Public Health Alert for Victoria and is closely monitoring the situation following a new community transmission of COVID-19 in Melbourne.
Health authorities in Victoria are investigating a new COVID-19 case detected in the Greater Melbourne community after a man tested positive on May 10 two days after he developed symptom.
He had returned home to Melbourne on May 4 after first quarantining in South Australia following his return from overseas.
NSW Health said anyone arriving in NSW from the Greater Melbourne area from 6am tomorrow morning, May 12, must complete a declaration which confirms they have not attended a venue of concern.
These declaration forms will be available on the Service NSW website.
"We require all travellers who have arrived from the Greater Melbourne area since Thursday, May 6, to check the Victoria Department of Health website and immediately follow the outlined public health advice," NSW Health said.
"Declaration forms must be completed within the 24-hour period prior to entering NSW, or on entry to NSW.
"If they have attended any of the venues identified at the times listed, they must also contact NSW Health immediately on 1800 943 553."
