A 53-year-old man will face court today after being charged with historical sex offences relating to a 16-year-old girl who was known to him.
Detectives attached to Sutherland Shire Police Area Command began an investigation in August 2020, following reports that a 16-year-old girl was indecently assaulted by a man who was known to her.
During the investigation, additional women came forward, alleging they were indecently assaulted by the same man.
Following extensive inquiries, a 53-year-old Maroubra man was arrested at Sutherland police station about 5.40pm yesterday, Friday.
He was charged with two counts of aggravated sexually touch another person, seven counts of aggravated indecent assault victim under authority of offender and nine counts of common assault.
Police will allege in court that the man sexually touched and indecently assaulted the 16-year-old girl as well as three women, aged 23, 26, 27, on multiple occasions in a workplace between 2014 and 2020.
He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today.
