Two men have been charged in relation to an alleged kidnapping and home invasion in Sans Souci yesterday.
Officers from St George Police Area Command attended a home at Bonney Street, Sans Souci, about 4pm on Wednesday following reports a man had been abducted.
Police were told a group of men allegedly forced their way inside the home and confronted the occupants, including a woman and a 44-year-old man.
The man was allegedly taken outside and forced into a vehicle.
A short time later, a car matching the vehicle's description was located on fire at Bankstown.
A crime scene was established before detectives from the State Crime Command's Robbery and Serious Crime Squad took over.
Police located the 44-year old man in Padstow at about 11.20pm. He was suffering minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
He told police he had been threatened and assaulted at a home in Archibald Street, Padstow, before he managed to flee through a window.
Officers attached to South West Metropolitan Operations Support Group later arrested two men aged 21 and 23 at a Padstow park.
They were charged with carried in conveyance/taken without consent of owner, special aggravated break and enter, commit serious indictable offence (weapon) and take/detain in company with intent to get advantage occasion actual bodily harm.
They were refused bail and will appear at Bankstown Local Court today.
Inquiries are continuing.
