A woman in her 20s from Sutherland Shire is among the new cases of COVID-19 reported in the past 24 hours.
NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant disclosed the details during a press conference at lunchtime today.
She said the woman was a close contact of a previously reported case.
Dr Chant was speaking at a press conference which was delayed two hours to allow NSW Premier Gladys Berejikilan to undergo urgent COVID-19 testing in light of a recent COVID-19 infection involving a member of her Cabinet.
It has also led Health Minister Brad Hazzard to go into isolation.
There were 11 new cases of COVID-19 reported this morning. This includes six new cases since 8pm last night and five new cases included in figures for the 24 hours to 8pm last night. A further 13 cases included in those figures were previously reported.
