Sutherland Shire libraries and leisure centres will be closed during Sydney's two-week lockdown, but children's playgrounds will remain open but will need to be used cautiously.
Mayor Steve Simpson said on Saturday evening the council had made decisions on some services and facilities, with consideration of other matters continuing.
Cr Simpson said council staff were being told to stay at home during the lockdown.
"Facilities such as libraries and leisure centres and the council administration centre will not be open," he said.
"Children's playgrounds won't be closed, but it will be up to parents to be responsible and adhere to social distancing."
Cr Simpson said, although the council's administration centre would be closed, residents would be given the means to make inquiries and obtain information.
More details will be released when available.
