Sutherland Shire police have shared a good news story at a time when good news is in short supply.
They posted on Facebook a photo of a happy couple and their baby, who decided to make his entrance to the world on the side of the Bangor Bypass.
The post reads:
"Sutherland Shire Police were called to the Bangor Bypass at Menai about 5.25am this morning (Friday) to help when Liz & Jeremy were on their way to hospital for the birth of their third child.
"Elijah William was in a hurry and was born shortly after pulling over.
"All three are doing great and our congratulations and best wishes to Liz & Jeremy and Elijah's two young sisters."
A lovely story to end the day!
