Sutherland Shire Council has issued a traffic light coded list of "what's open and closed" for the next two weeks during the lockdown.

WHAT'S OPEN

Playgrounds, skate parks, ocean pools, barbecues, shelter sheds, picnic tables and outdoor seating remain open, with 1.5 metre social distancing required.

Council owned and operated tennis courts are open for recreational exercise use in line with current restrictions (max groups of 10 people adhering to 4sqm rule). Bookings for Council Tennis Courts can be made online.

Sporting fields are open for recreational exercise use in line with current restrictions (max groups of 10 people adhering to 4sqm rule). Social distancing in place - keep 1.5m apart. Community sport will not be permitted during this period. Visit Sporting Fields for further information.

The animal shelter is open by appointment only. Conditions of Entry - Please register your contact details upon entry. Appointments can be arranged for: release of impounded animals, serious potential adoption of animals, dropping off found stray animals. Early education centre and vacation care are open with COVID Safe practices in place. Visit Early Education Centres or Vacation Care for more details.

WHAT'S CLOSED

Temporarily closed: Hazelhurst Arts Centre, eight council libraries, three leisure centres, Menai Indoor Sports Centre and council community halls, native plant nursery and Bushcare groups.

Sutherland Entertainment Centre and Sutherland Memorial School of Arts are closed for upgrading, while Como Swimming Pool is closed for winter.

Essential services such as waste collections continue.

The council administration centre in Sutherland is closed but residents can contact the council online or by calling the Customer Service number, 9710 0333.
