Emergency services were called to Cronulla this morning after a woman was found on rocks at the bottom of a cliff after she reportedly fell while sleepwalking.
A NSW Ambulance Service spokesman said they received a call at about 6.15am following reports a woman had been found naked on rocks about 40 metres from Zimzala restaurant at Cronulla beach.
He said paramedics arrived at the scene to find a woman in her 40s suffering from multiple lacerations, injuries to her lower legs and a suspected head injury.
She was treated at the scene and stretchered from the site to a waiting ambulance before being transported to St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A NSW Police spokesman said police were also called to the scene at about 6.15am regarding a concern for welfare after a woman was found on rocks.
"A person was sleepwalking and fell down a cliff onto rocks," he said.
The NSW Ambulance Service spokesman said the woman was thought to have fallen about a metre, and not from a nearby cliff.
