The NRL will hold a triple-header in Brisbane next month as NSW's COVID outbreak continues to play havoc with the competition's schedule.
The August 7 action at Suncorp Stadium kicks off with the Warriors facing Cronulla, before mouthwatering clashes between the Sydney Roosters and Penrith and premiership favourites Melbourne taking on Manly.
The revised schedule for Rounds 20 and 21 also includes matches in regional centres Mackay and Rockhampton as Queensland plays host to the competition due to NSW's ongoing lockdown.
"I'd like to thank the clubs and the broadcasters for their willingness to see these games in Mackay and Rockhampton eventuate," NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo said.
"The opportunity for a mini magic triple header at Suncorp Stadium, as well as double headers in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast, will also continue to maximise opportunities for our supporters in southeast Queensland to see multiple clubs and games at one venue."
The Roosters will host Parramatta at Mackay's BB Print Stadium next Thursday in a crucial clash for the top-four aspirations of both teams.
St George Illawarra and South Sydney will play in Rockhampton next Saturday.
Redcliffe's Moreton Daily Stadium will also host two matches, the Round-20 game between the Sharks and Sea Eagles and Canterbury taking on Wests Tigers in Round 21.
A potential minor premiership decider between the Storm and Panthers will be played at Suncorp Stadium as the second match of a double-header in Brisbane on Saturday, July 31.
