Sydney's preview of spring helps to shrug off the gloom

Sydney is enjoying a preview of spring today with temperatures tipped to reach 24 degrees C, helping people to shrug off the COVID gloom.

Leader photographer Chris Lane captured the atmosphere in the shots at Dolls Point this morning.

The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting a 20 percent chance of showers in the late afternoon or early evening with winds set to reach between 30 to 45 km.

Tomorrow won't be as warm but conditions will remain a sunny and 17 degrees, reaching 18 degrees on Friday.

The spring conditions are set to return on the weekend with a forecast of 22 degrees C on Saturday and Sunday.
