Vaccination rates in the St George area are surging, with around 74 per cent of residents of the two local government areas having received their first dose and more than 36 per cent fully vaccinated.
And one postcode in particular is leading the way, with 80-89 per cent of eligible residents having their first dose, while 50-59 per cent are fully vaccinated.
Vaccinated figures published on the NSW Health website today, for data from September 5, showed Georges River LGA was slightly out-performing neighbouring Bayside.
In Georges River, 74.3 per cent of the 133,798 eligible residents have received their first dose of vaccine, up from 65 per cent a week before, while 39 per cent are fully vaccinated, up from 33 per cent a week ago.
In Bayside, 73.9 per cent of the 150,746 eligible residents have had their first dose, up from 63.1 per cent a week before, while 36.4 per cent are fully vaccinated, up from 30.8 per cent.
A Map of NSW vaccinations by home postcode on the NSW Health website today, which is showing data from September 9, is painting an even better picture, especially for the residents of a few standout postcodes.
The 2223 postcode, which includes Mortdale and Oatley, and is part of Georges River LGA, is leading the way, with 80-89 per cent of 18,272 eligible residents having their first dose, while 50-59 per cent are fully vaccinated.
A number of other postcodes have also achieved an 80-89 per cent first dose figure, including 2210, 2209 and 2208. Each of these postcodes can also boast that 40-49 per cent of their eligible population is fully vaccinated.

2208, Kingsgrove, (Georges River), 11,005 eligible, 80-89 per cent first dose, 40-49 per cent fully vaccinated.
2217, Ramsgate, Ramsgate Beach, Monterey, Beverley Park, Kogarah and Kogarah Bay, (Bayside), 24,700 eligible, 70-79 per cent first dose, 40-49 per cent fully vaccinated.
2219, Dolls Point, Sandringham and Sans Souci, and is part of Bayside, 11,815 eligible, 70-79 per cent have had the first dose, 40-49 per cent fully vaccinated.
2221, Blakehurst, Carss Park, Connells Point, Kyle Bay, South Hurstville and part of Kogarah Bay, (Georges River), 14,863 eligible, 70-79 per cent have had the first dose, 40-49 per cent fully vaccinated.
2207, Bexley, Bexley North, Bardwell Park, (Bayside), 25,598 eligible for the jab, 70-79 per cent have had the first dose, 40-49 per cent fully vaccinated.
