The St George area has recorded a drop in active COVID-19 cases for the first time in weeks.
The Map of NSW COVID-19 positive cases and testing by local government area and postcode on the NSW Health website this morning, for data collected on September 11, showed a total of 552 cases in the two local government areas, down from 699 a week ago.
There are 282 in Georges River Local Government Area - down from 346 last Monday, and 270 active cases in Bayside Local Government Area - down from 353 last Monday.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 cases linked to postcodes in the St George area shows there are 535 active cases, compared with 677 a week ago - a drop of 142.
The figures for local government area and postcodes differ due to council boundaries.
The 2210 postcode, which takes in Lugarno, Riverwood, Peakhurst, Peakhurst Heights, and Oatley Park, but is part of both Georges River and Canterbury-Bankstown LGAs, has the highest number of active cases, with 107, down from 120 a week ago.
Next is the 2207 postcode, in the Bayside LGA, which takes in Bexley, Bexley North, Bardwell Park, with 81 active cases, down from 102 last Monday.
The 2209 postcode, which takes in Beverly Hills and Narwee, but is part of both Georges River and Canterbury-Bankstown LGAs, has 57 active cases, down from 66.
The 2216 postcode, which includes Rockdale, Banksia, Brighton-Le-Sands and Kyeemagh, and is part of Bayside LGA, now has 46 active cases, down from 61.
The 2217 postcode, which takes in Ramsgate, Ramsgate Beach, Monterey, Beverley Park, Kogarah and Kogarah Bay, and is part of both Bayside and Georges River LGAs, also has 46 active cases, compared with 58.
The 2220 postcode, which takes in Hurstville and Hurstville Grove, and is part of Georges River LGA, has 41 active cases, down 54
The 2205 postcode, which takes in Wolli Creek, Turrella and Arncliffe, and is part of Bayside LGA, has 32 active cases, down from 57.

2208 postcode, which takes in Kingsgrove, (Georges River), has 26 active cases (down from 37).
2218 postcode, which includes Allawah and Carlton, and is part of Bayside LGA, 26 active cases, (down from 36).
2219 postcode, which takes in Dolls Point, Sandringham and Sans Souci, and is part of Bayside, 22 active cases (down from 16).
2222 postcode, which takes in Penshurst, (Georges River), has 20 active cases (from 21).
2223 postcode, which takes in Mortdale and Oatley, in Georges River, 14 active cases (down from 27).
2221 postcode, which takes in Blakehurst, Carss Park, Connells Point, Kyle Bay, South Hurstville and part of Kogarah Bay, (Georges River), 17 active cases (down from 22).
