The St George area has recorded a rise in the number of active COVID-19 cases after recording a drop the previous week.
The Map of NSW COVID-19 positive cases and testing by local government area and postcode on the NSW Health website this morning, for data collected on September 15, showed a total of 620 cases in the two local government areas, up from 552 a week ago - an increase of 62 cases.
Georges River Local Government Area recorded 312 cases - up from 282 last Monday, and Bayside Local Government Area has 308 active cases, up from 270 active cases a week ago.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 cases linked to postcodes in the St George area today shows there are 598 active cases, compared with 535 a week ago - an increase of 63.
The figures for local government areas and postcodes differ due to council boundaries.
The 2210 postcode, which takes in Lugarno, Riverwood, Peakhurst, Peakhurst Heights, and Oatley Park, but is part of both Georges River and Canterbury-Bankstown LGAs, has the highest number of active cases, with 146, up from 107 a week ago.
Next is the 2207 postcode, in the Bayside LGA, which takes in Bexley, Bexley North, Bardwell Park, with 86 active cases, up from 81 last Monday.
The 2217 postcode, which takes in Ramsgate, Ramsgate Beach, Monterey, Beverley Park, Kogarah and Kogarah Bay, and is part of both Bayside and Georges River LGAs, has 58 active cases, up from 46.
The 2209 postcode, which takes in Beverly Hills and Narwee, but is part of both Georges River and Canterbury-Bankstown LGAs, has 54 active cases, down from 57.
The 2216 postcode, which includes Rockdale, Banksia, Brighton-Le-Sands and Kyeemagh, and is part of Bayside LGA, now has 53 active cases, up from 46 .
The 2220 postcode, which takes in Hurstville and Hurstville Grove, and is part of Georges River LGA, has 49 active cases, up from 41.
The 2208 postcode, which takes in Kingsgrove, (Georges River), has 37 active cases, up from 26.
The 2205 postcode, which takes in Wolli Creek, Turrella and Arncliffe, and is part of Bayside LGA, has 29 active cases, down from 32.

2219 postcode, which takes in Dolls Point, Sandringham and Sans Souci, and is part of Bayside, 23 active cases (up from 22).
2218 postcode, which includes Allawah and Carlton, and is part of Bayside LGA, 18 active cases (down from 26).
2222 postcode, which takes in Penshurst, (Georges River), 15 active cases (down from 20).
2223 postcode, which takes in Mortdale and Oatley, in Georges River, 16 active cases (down from 14).
2221 postcode, which takes in Blakehurst, Carss Park, Connells Point, Kyle Bay, South Hurstville and part of Kogarah Bay, (Georges River), 14 active cases (down from 17).
