Shire COVID cases halved
The number of active coronavirus cases in Sutherland Shire has halved in a month.
NSW Health data shows 75 active cases as of October 5, compared with 166 on September 12.
Big reductions were recorded in the Caringbah, Cronulla, Engadine and Menai postcode areas.
The figures by postcode as of October 5:
- 2224 (Sylvania / Southgate / Kangaroo Pt): 8
- 2225 (Caravan Head /Oyster Bay): 5
- 2226 (Bonnet Bay / Como / Jannali): 6
- 2227 (Gymea area): 3
- 2228 (Miranda area): 5
- 2229 (Caringbah area): 15
- 2230 (Cronulla / Bundeena): 9
- 2231 (Kurnell): 0
- 2232 (Kareela / Sutherland / Woronora / Loftus): 11
- 2233 (Engadine / Heathcote / Waterfall): 3
- 2234 (Menai area): 10
