A week after winning the Ken Stephen Medal, awarded to the NRL player judged to have made the most significant impact in the community for the past season, Ronaldo Mulitalo is taking part in the Sleep Under the Stars fundraising event for Stepping Stone House on October 15.
Mulitalo, who is involved in Sharks Have Heart based initiatives, is an ambassador for the charity which provides at risk youth with a safe home and educational and employment opportunities.
The event is hoping to raise $800,000 which has the ability to care for 33 at-risk youth for an entire year. Currently, Stepping Stone House are turning away three young people a day due to the impact of COVID on families.
"My mum always raised me to be the shining light in anyone's life," Mulitalo said of his desire to give back to the community.
