Sutherland Shire's Rohan Browning may have proven he is faster than a horse after beating out jockey Hugh Bowman in a handicapped race at Randwick Racecourse last Monday, October 11.
The head-to-head race saw Bowman and his horse start at the 220 metre mark, with Browning taking his place 100 metres from the finish.
Browning pinned his ears and mullet back to challenge the 5-year-old gelding, who came up short of chasing down Australia's fastest man.
The Australian Olympic sprinter notched an impressive 11.46 seconds on the track, upstaging the Everest duo.
Browning shot into the spotlight of the nation earlier this year during the Men's 100 Meters event at the Tokyo Olympics, where he set a blistering time of 10.01 seconds to win his heat.
He finished the event 13th overall after bowing out in the semi-finals.
At Randwick, Browning was running in a pair of football boots and on a rain-affected track, leading to his time being slower than his Olympic heat.
