Holiday parks, five-star hotels, tours and Tasmanian attractions will all be on offer to interstate visitors after hundreds of businesses apply to participate in the $300 Tassie Holiday Voucher program.
Tasmanian hospitality and tourism businesses have responded quickly to the program, with more than 500 applications received by government.
The latest round of travel vouchers is set to attract tourists from South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland to Tasmania, who will be able to apply for vouchers, $200 for accommodation and $100 on experiences, to be used in summer.
They can register to enter the ballot from October 29 until November 2, with successful participants able to book a November and December holiday through a special website to redeem their vouchers.
Tourism Hospitality and Events minister Sarah Courtney said she was looking forward to welcoming interstate visitors into the state.
"Tourism Tasmania has received over 500 applications from tourism businesses to participate in the Tassie Holiday Voucher program that will encourage interstate travellers to experience all that our state has to offer," she said.
"Interstate visitors from South Australia, Western Australia, and Queensland will be able to book a range of accommodation from holiday parks to five star hotels with multi-day tours or attractions available around the state."
Ms Courtney said the Tassie Holiday Voucher Program would provide a much needed boost to travel numbers in November and December.
"Tasmania's vibrant tourism industry adds millions to our economy and supports thousands of jobs around the state, particularly in regional areas and this voucher program will bring attention to our spectacular products and destinations to encourage visitation."
