It was a trifecta win for these active kids.
The jump rope team at St George Christian School won gold, silver and bronze in the 2021 International Jump Rope Union Virtual World Championship Series.
This marks the school's first ever international medals in the World Jump Rope Championships. The team includes students and alumni.
In 2020 they were on track to compete at the World Championships in Ottawa, Canada, but the global COVID-19 pandemic delayed the competition for a year, before it went online.

The Sydney lockdown this year meant the team could not train together in person, so they prepared their routines individually on Zoom. All individual and team routines were filmed and submitted for judging.
"It has been three very long years to achieve these results, from postponement and lockdowns in 2020 to longer lockdowns in 2021," The school's jump rope coordinator Karen Binns said.
"No sport when community sport was on, no mixing of cohorts, and training on Zoom. One step at a time, we were able to submit our entries for the competition. To then achieve such brilliant results has been so rewarding."
