A local face graces the cover of this year's White Pages; Monterey film maker Genevieve Clay-Smith.
Ms Clay-Smith, 27, features on the Sydney Business and Government White Pages which was released on Monday.
She was selected as part of the Australian Stars Rising Above theme which celebrates up and coming Australians who make positive changes in their community.
Ms Clay-Smith was recognised for her work as a filmmaker and social entrepreneur.
Through her not-for-profit organisation Bus Stop Films she works with diverse and marginalised communities to create short films that help them give voice to their experiences.
The organisation runs weekly workshops to that community and its inclusive short films have screened at more than 90 international and national film festivals, winning more than 40 awards.
She also won national and international praise for her short film Be My Brother which won first prize at Tropfest in 2009.
She said she hopes the coverage will help shine a light on her work with people with a disability.
‘‘Through Bus Stop Films, we hope that the film industry can grow to become more accessible and inclusive for all,’’ she said.
It’s not the first time she has been recognised for her achievements.
