A motorbike rider is in a critical condition after he collided with a car at Engadine about 3.30pm Tuesday a CareFlight spokesman said.

All northbound and two of three southbound lanes of the Princes Highway near Engadine Avenue were shut and motorists advised to avoid the area.
A CareFlight helicopter landed in a nearby park to help paramedics, police and firefighters treat the man, believed to be aged about 30.
He was found unconscious on the road suffering from fractured legs.
A doctor placed him in an induced coma and on a ventilator to control his breathing.
He was taken to St George hospital by ambulance where he remained in a critical condition on arrival, the spokesman said.
